Morning:

  • 8:00 AM: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel or a local cafe.
  • 9:00 AM: Head off to the Giraffe Centre. This is a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with giraffes, even feed them from a raised platform! Learn about the different types of giraffes found in Kenya and the threats they face.
  • 10:30 AM: Make your way to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Elephant Orphanage. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe young elephants who have been orphaned due to poaching or other human-wildlife conflicts. Witness their heartwarming feeding session and learn about the Trust's efforts in elephant conservation.
  • 12:30 PM: Enjoy a delicious and authentic Kenyan lunch at a local restaurant. There are many options to choose from, depending on your preferences.

Afternoon:

  • 2:00 PM: Head to the Karen Blixen Museum, the former home of Danish author Karen Blixen, who wrote the book "Out of Africa." Learn about her life in Kenya and explore the beautifully preserved farmhouse.
  • 3:30 PM: Depending on your time and energy, you can either:
    • Visit the nearby Kazuri Bead Factory, where you can learn about the traditional art of bead making and even purchase some unique souvenirs.
  • 4:30 PM: Relax and reflect on your day's experiences as you head back to your hotel.
