Crescent Island on Lake Naivasha
Crescent Island, nestled in Lake Naivasha, offers a unique walking safari experience. This crescent-shaped island is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various bird species. With no predators on the island, it's safe to explore on foot, allowing for close encounters with the animals. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the lakeshore, taking in the stunning views of the lake and surrounding landscape. A boat trip to the island adds another dimension to the experience, offering opportunities to spot hippos and fish eagles.
Points to Note
- This is a half day tour with pick up at 7:00am so that we are the jetty by 9:00am
- The tour allows for a boat trip before being dropped off at the Island
- Entry formalities then free time to explore the area with your guide or on your own
- Later, return back to the jetty for the boat transfer to where the vehicle is
- Depart for Nairobi arrival in the afternoon
- You will have a qualified Driver-Guide for your tour
- Bottled Water will be provided
- You are encouraged to purchase some snacks/ biting's for yourself
- Remember to bring a sweater/ jacket, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.
- Pick Up and Drop off is included - Remember to send over your address to help coordinate this
- Park Entry Fees has to be pre-paid either by us (if indicated) or by yourself (a guide will be provided) or we can assist
